One of the best things about traveling is meeting people. One of the best things about Airbnb is meeting people AND staying in their awesome apartments. I’ve stayed in a couple and I make it a point to do so especially on my solo trip. It’s a great way to learn more about new culture and forging new friendship. Perhaps I should do a couple of blog posts of apartments and villas I have rented.
If all else fails, you can trust LonelyPlanet. With available ebook guides and maps it’s perfect if you haven’t got much time to plan your trip. The book offers varied itineraries for your needs!

HoneyCombers give you up to day guides about whats happening around Singapore, Bali AND Jakarta. I love the layout of the site, the writing, the topics they cover! Definitely one of my top go-tos!
This is another useful site for what’s happening in Singapore and around South East Asia!
As an avid blogger, Ladyironchef has collated an immense database of food in Singapore. He has recently started reviewing and writing guides on other countries as well. Such as cafe guides to Bangkok or “must-eat” places in London.
Another portal I go to for new restaurant reviews, events etc..
Poached Mag is an online magazine. Similar to HoneyCombers and Urban Journey, it updates you about what’s happening in town and it publishes inspirational articles to provide you with new “perspective”.
Timeout is also a quick and easy channel to view what events are on in the coming months or so but largely mainstream
Bandwagon tells you where the latest, hippest and most happening gigs are everyday!
